Today starts a new day ...

So today I am starting a blog.  I don't really know what spurred this inspiration to write about my life and post it on the internet since I have never been one to like to write or share many things in my life with other people.  However, I believe a little self reflection is what I need at this point in my life.

I am starting to read the book Radical by David Platt and it has led me to look back at my life and the experiences I have gone though in order to truly grasp where I have been and where I should be going in life (or better yet where God wants me to go in life) and changes that need to be made. Im sure if you follow my blog there will be many days that I struggle but many days I can rejoice in the changes occurring.

Im going to start by introducing you to my family if you do not already know them since I am sure they will be discussed in great deal throughout my blog.

So this is my husband, William, on our wedding day. It is crazy to think we have almost been married for two months already.  He is an amazing person with a true heart of gold.  I couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. Now it is not butterflies and rainbows all the time, but we can make it through anything. I love him so much.

This is my dad, Al.  This picture was taken when we were going on a zip line in Canada, he does not normally need to wear a helmet.  He is by far a better dad than any girl could ask for.  Throughout my life and still to this day he is a major role model for me.  I am truly a daddy's little girl and don't know what I would do without him.

Then there is my mother, Connie. She will probably kill my for using this picture out of all the other ones I have of her.  She is a very kind hearted woman a great inspiration to where I want to go in life.  She is a little crazy but I challenge you to find someone with a more caring heart. We butt heads sometimes but it is truly because we are cut out of the same cloth.

This is my little brother, Matthew.  He will be 21 next month and is on his way to becoming a very successful individual.  He is "tech" smart and even though I do not understand him half the time I still love him.

This is my father-in-law, Charlie and mother-in-law, Peggy.  They are very good people and helped me grow during a difficult time in my life.  I love them very much.

This is Trey, William's brother and his daughter Ashlyn that will be 9 years old next week. William and I spend a lot of time with them and truly enjoy every minute.

Last but not least .....

Lily, our little mean Chihuahua is my baby and I don't know what I would do if anything every happened to her. William and I got her six years ago as a puppy.
This is Brutus (William named him) who is the newest addition to our family.  He is a sweet little man but he has the bladder the size of a grape and we are still trying to work on his potty training. I feel as if it will never end, but I do love him and it is worth to work.

Without my family I do not know where I would be today.  I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. With all the support I have from my family and friends I am trying to rediscover who I am and tackle new experiences and challenges that I was previously scared to try to conquer.

With Love,
Laura <3
